Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, what’s in store for fans?

Assassin’s Creed, named Syndicate is about to invade the shelves. And after the partial failure of Unity last year, heavily handicapped by a disastrous technique, Ubisoft is expected to turn its critics, but also by the fringe of diehards who continue to enjoy the wanderings of our friends Assassins.

Whatever became the series today, Assassin’s Creed is definitely a series that has marked the history of gaming. However, over the years, and despite some nice reinventions, the concept was out of breath, running out along with the players because of his too sustained release of rhythm and a certain repetitiveness . Although critics have become increasingly virulent, Ubisoft did not know, or wanted, to react in the right direction. Syndicate is the proof to this.

Despite some successes, this new Assassin suffers from many problems inherited from its predecessors. First, the technical part of Ubisoft title is a disappointment. While the franchise was widely criticized on this point last year, certainly by offering a brand new engine, but far from being under control, this new vintage is stuck with a swarm of bugs and other technical deficiencies that we would have liked to see consigned to the past. To believe in the end that rumbles swelling year after year never reached the studio, and not pushed to question its mode of operation.

Assassins-Creed-Gameplay

In the end, we are not bored playing Assassin’s Creed. Climb on rooftops, assassinate Templars, visit a new city or learn more about the burgeoning world of the license proves very pleasant once digested technical problems.

The annualization of the franchise, in the end, overused the essence of Assassin’s Creed, forcing developers to pay in the ongoing bidding war to preserve the public interest, to the detriment of the overall quality of the title. Paradoxically, it is this continual escalation that cut the players of the license, and Assassin’s Creed transformed into a beast AAA gradually soulless. And Syndicate, despite himself, synthesizes everything that goes with the franchise. It is high time, then, that Ubisoft take responsibility, and so the vicious circle in which he moved now for almost a decade, offering a little breathing to its flagship series.
